Holiday Nail Art with Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate L005

Press Sample

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Well, unfortunately maybe not quite so much for me. I am currently surrounded by boxes and living with the barest minimum at the moment as we prepare for our move next week. The timing is great since we don't have to worry about my oldest missing much kindergarten and my husband has the holiday to help settle into the new house, but that does mean no lights or decorations this holiday season. My kids and I did put up a felt tree on the wall on Thanksgiving, and while it may not be much, it's the most we can do right now so we aren't scrambling last minute packing. At least I have some polish out so I can do my nails a little longer!

Speaking of nails, I have the cutest stamping plate by Born Pretty Store to share with you! My Born Pretty package sadly arrived so close to the holidays I know there isn't time to order this and receive it in time for this Christmas, but it is totally worth checking out and picking up for next year! Here's my nail art look I created with this plate.

To create this look, I used Literary Lacquers A Thousand Christmas Trees for my green nails and KBShimmer's I'll Be Chrome For Christmas as the base for my stamping. I then used the hanging images from this stamping plate with Celestial for Color4Nails stamping polish in Crimson to finish the look.

Since I didn't get a lot of time to play with this plate on my nails, I did want to share a few other looks and show how well it stamps with swatch sticks.

ellagee polish: Drink Up Me Hearties Yo Ho Ho!
Girly Bits Cosmetics: British Racing Green

Envy Lacquer: Illuminacion
DIFFERENT Dimension: Silver Lining

KBShimmer: I Cat Even
Rica: Whiteout

This plate is adorable, and you can definitely do many more things with it besides these looks I've shown here! This particular stamping plate can be picked up from Born Pretty Store here. It usually takes 4-8 weeks for shipping so this would be something to pick up for the celestial or snow designs for right now and save the Christmas specific images for next year. Or not, you do you!

While you are visiting the store, be sure to check out all the Born Pretty Store has to offer for your nail art needs! You can also save 10% off regular priced items with discount code QWL91.

Unless I am able to squeak in another nail art look this week, this may be my last holiday look for the year. Let me live vicariously through you: tell me what designs are you wearing on your nails this holiday season!

Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
XO!

Dry Brush Nail art with Londontown's Back With a Vengeance Collection

Press Sample

Londontown has come "Back With a Vengeance" for their latest fall collection, but don't let this release deceive you. The shades are more timeless and can easily be worn any time of year. This is a large part of allure of this collection for me, and I opted to put three of the four shades together for a fun nail art design. Let's check it out!

To create this look, I started off with Jane Austen, a lovely light pink toned lavender crème, as my base shade.

I then used the vibrant cobalt blue crème, Iconic, and dry brushed on top of my base. I then used Kissed By Rose Gold, a metallic rose gold shade, and again dry brushed in select locations on my nails. I sealed everything in with Gel Genius top coat and went on my way.

I really love the way this simple design turned out, and the colours play so beautifully together! I actually painted this look for my trip to Los Angeles for The Makeup Show, and between the show and my immediate trip right afterwards, I ended up wearing this look for a week and a half! During that time, I didn't have a single chip, and my nails looked just as nice when I got home and removed my polish as they did when I painted them the first day. Now that's what I call lasting power!

All three of these shades are currently available from the Londontown website for $16 each. If you're wanting a manicure that lasts a long time, I would strongly recommend their Gel Genius top coat as well. It's a little more spendy that other brands at $20 a bottle, but it's the best top coat I have used for long term wear.

I hope you've enjoyed today's post! Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
