Lyn B Designs: Polish Con Chicago 2017 Exclusives

Press Sample

Greetings, dear readers! I hope this post finds you well and your week has been off to a fabulous start! I'm having a little trouble getting back into the normal swing of things since my week off, but I'm hoping to actually get to bed at a reasonable hour and get decent sleep! Here's hoping!

If you are one of the lucky individuals who will be attending Polish Con in Chicago this weekend, do I have something special for you! Lyn B Designs has created three exclusives for the event, and you are definitely going to want to get your hands on these! Let's check them out!

Shedd Some Light

Medium blue toned green with purple to blue to green shimmer, green galaxy flakes, and holo micro shimmer.

Let's just go ahead and start off with one of my favorites from the offerings! I have a particular weakness for aqua hues so Shedd Some Light won me over instantly! The formula was fantastically easy to work with although you may have the stray flakie that wants to hang off over your nails. I found they easily pushed back up onto the nails, or you can always just pull them off if you prefer. I used two coats plus top coat for these photos. Please pardon the touch of "wrinkling" on my index finger- the top coat I originally grabbed did not play well with this polish and my camera only exacerbated the issue. This was not due to the Lyn B Designs polish by any means!

Retail: $8

Millennium Park Pink

Light pink crelly base with linear holo, pink to purple shimmer, and white micro flakes.

I'm not typically a crazy pink fanatic, but Millennium Park Pink is just so darn pretty it was hard not to love it. Delicate and feminine, this is a great shade for when you want your nails to dazzle without being too dark. The white micro flakes are subtle and add a great touch! Not too thick or thin for my preference, Millennium Park Pink applied easily with two coats to opacity; I then topped my nails off with top coat for these photos.

Retail: $8

Chicago After Midnight

Deep navy jelly with color shifting iridescent glitter and micro rainbow glass fleck.

With the start of autumn this Friday, I am so glad to see a darker shade being offered as a Polish Con exclusive, and what a beauty she is! Chicago After Midnight stole my heart when I first saw it in the bottle, but it really took my breath away once I added a matte top coat. Check it out!

Whether you prefer a shiny or matte finish, Chicago After Midnight has so much depth that you can get lost just staring at your nails! Like the rest of this selection, Chicago After Midnight had a great formula that applied easily to my nails without any issue. I then added top coat, either shiny or matte for the photos above.

Retail: $8

I am totally jealous of those that have the opportunity to be attending Polish Con this weekend, and I look forward to stalking social media to see photos from the events and polish hauls! If you are attending, I would recommend picking up these beauties! If you are unable to attend, don't despair: if you haven't already, join the Polish Con Facebook group in my links below and surely you can find someone to help you pick up these exclusive shades!

Do you have a favorite Lyn B Designs Polish Con exclusive shade? Do you prefer Chicago After Midnight with a shiny or matte finish? Will you be attending the Con? I'd love to hear from you!

Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
XO!

  17. I didn't even know there is a convention for mail polish. Wow. That's pretty different & cool.

  18. It kills me that you have to be at the convention for so many of the exclusives. I get it, because that brings people to the con, but it's deflating for those that can't go. Ok that didn't really have anything to do with these polishes, but.....I'd be all over the pink and the navy!

  20. I ended up missing all of these. We only had an hour and 15 minutes to get through all tables as press and frankly, I barely got through half the room. Mostly because I also was saying hi to old friends and I got to purchase before the rush (which was fantastic on the ones I did get) but UGH!
