Treasures By Tan Bubble Gum Blast Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Good morning, dear readers, and happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! For today's post, I have the bubble gum scented polish, Bubble Gum Blast made by Tanya of Treasures By Tan. I have actually had this polish for a little while and have swatched it four times! *gulp* I was either unhappy with the original photos (and realized it after removing the polish), dented a nail (killing the mosquito that had been attacking me for a week was well worth it!), or I was just unhappy with the undies I chose to wear under it. I was starting to think I would never get to share this cute polish with you, but I am happy to say that everything finally worked out in my favor. YAY! Seriously, it sucks trying to swatch and share a polish but not have things work out for you. :P

Bubble Gum Blast is made up of light pink, hot pink, and iridescent glitters in a clear base, and I decided to swatch it over Sation Love at First Byte (pale pink, three coats) and Sation Holiday Pink (dark pink, two coats). I dabbed and swished a coat of Bubble Gum Blast over the base colour and then used Glisten & Glow's HK Girl top coat for these photos.

In the Sun
In the Shade
My camera always makes my skin tone look so weird in the shade, but you can really see the iridescent glitters in the shade photos the best!

I was very pleased with the application of this polish! Using my favorite dabbing method, the glitters dispersed nicely over my nails, and I did not have any clumping issues whatsoever. The base was neither too thick or too thin, and I had no problems with moving the glitters to place them where I wanted them. Even with the top coat, I could still smell the bubble gum scent on my nails. The scent wasn't too strong and overpowering, and it lasted for the three days I had this polish on my nails. Bubble Gum Blast really is a nice addition to add to your nails to make them a little more playful without being too crazy.
