Stick With It Palette Review and Giveaway

Press Sample

Good evening, dear readers! I hope this post finds you all well and you have been enjoying the weekend thus far. I am excited to be back after a little break from blogging, and I have a truly amazing product to share with you today. Today's blog post features the Stick With It Palette by Mettano Designs. This arrived in the mail just before a trip to visit family in Colorado, and I was happy to give it a test drive during my travels. I am hooked, and I think you will love it as well.
Before I get ahead of myself again, let me back up a little and fill you in about this superb cosmetic palette. The Stick With It Palette is a double-sided refillable cosmetic case that uses a proprietary sticky surface to affix your makeup without magnets. Oh yes, dear readers, there is no need to worry about whether or not your makeup tins are magnetic nor do you have to attach those little metal stickers as you do if you are using magnetic palettes. How fantastic is that?!? Furthermore, because it is double-sided, you have so much room to add your makeup! There is a total of 41.41 square inches of workable surface area, and it really does hold quite a bit. Needless to say, I was ecstatic that this arrived prior to my trip. I tend to be a little neurotic when it comes to traveling with my makeup, and I prefer to keep it in my carry on luggage. Because I was traveling alone with my 4 month old (YIKES!), my hands were already full with the stroller, car seat, diaper bag, clothing, and the little man. I was trying to figure out the bare minimum I could carry with me, and the Stick With It Palette was the miracle cure. A little dramatic? Maybe, but it doesn't make it any less true.
I played around with the layout of my pans for a little while, and it was pretty easy to move the pans around as needed. The sticky surface kept the pans securely in place (one exception which will be commented on further in this review) until I wanted to move them to a new location. There was no sticky residue left on the bottom of my tins either! I couldn't tell you how many times I've had to dump out my makeup bag to try to locate my eyeliner pencils (which stuck nicely, by the way) or a specific eyeshadow, and the Stick With It Palette kept my makeup nicely organized.

I did not snap a photo of my palette filled with makeup prior to my trip, and I currently need to rearrange my tins. Because I was in a little bit of a rush depotting eyeshadows to take with me on my trip, I managed to slightly bend the metal tin of one eyeshadow. Because it wasn't completely flat, this tin was the only one I could not get to stick in my palette. Rather, it would stick, but it would fall off the sticky surface after the palette was closed for a period of time. Of course this was entirely my fault, but I wanted to mention it so you were aware of it. This particular eyeshadow ended up crumbling quite a bit in my Stick With It Palette and needed to be discarded when I got home. While it was a little sad, it did give me the perfect opportunity to test just how well the sticky surface could be cleaned of eyeshadow residue. I had to remove all the contents from my palette because there was eyeshadow everywhere, and I used a Wet One's antibacterial towelette to wipe it down as suggested by the website. It cleaned so easily for me, and now it is ready for me to stick another assortment of cosmetics.

Final Thoughts
I fell in love with this palette, and it is so easy to use! I have an assortment of makeup palettes that contain several colours I use and a couple colours I do not. I love that I can consolidate the colours I do wear into one useful palette, and it is an impact-resistant case. I would strongly discourage drop-kicking it loaded with makeup as your makeup may not be impact-resistant, but at least the case won't break easily! The Stick With It Palette is the ideal solution to consolidate your makeup palettes so you can see all your options at once, and it is perfect for travel.

The Stick With It Palette can be purchased here for $28. Now that I've tried one, I don't want to be without it!

  3. Most likely, I'd include pressed eyeshadows.

  4. i've been thinking about de-potting some eyeshadows and tossing them in a z palette, but this is so much better! to think, I could put pressed powders, blushes, and bronzers on one side and eysehadows on the other side. I find in the other palettes sometimes the blushes are too close to the eyeshadows and the fallout from the eyeshadows gets on the blushes/face powders...

  5. If I had this palette, I think I'd put a little bit of everything in it so you don't have to carry 20 different items with you.
