Spectraflair4U and Stamping

Gifted Sample

Good morning, dear readers! I hope this post finds you well and you are enjoying another day! For today's post, I wanted to share Spectraflair4U and a use for a product you may not have tried before. I had the pleasure of meeting up with Lori, the owner of Spectraflair4U, and she sent me a bottle of her Spectraflair 14/35 in base to play with and test out.
If you've purchased Spectraflair in the past, you'll notice that the packaging used by Spectraflair4U has changed. Rather than thick walled glass bottles with caps, Lori has changed her packaging to these plastic bottles with flip-cap lids. The walls of the new bottles are much thinner than the glass, so while it does not look filled, each bottle is poured and measured by weight to ensure you are receiving the full amount of product, 2 grams in this particular case.

Spectraflair is used by many of my favorite indie makers to create their beautiful holographic polishes. If you've been wanted to holo-fy your own bottles, all you need to do is add several drops (6 to 8 for your average 15mL full size bottle) to your base colour and get to shaking! There is an art to creating holographic polishes in certain colour families, so I'll leave that to the experts. I have heard that this Spectraflair in base works really well for stamping, and I really wanted to test it out. Before I share my photos, please keep in mind that my stamping skills are not the best, and I think the plates I have on hand are too shallow for successful stamping. That being said, this manicure using Spectraflair in base as the stamping polish is the first time I have had any success in stamping. There is a little bit of smearing due to user error (MINE!), but hopefully you can appreciate just how well this works as a stamping polish.

The flip-top cap has a small opening that made placing a drop into the well of my stamping plate really easy. The Spectraflair in base is so densely packed with Spectraflair that you can clearly see the holographic goodness on the nail. Many of my polishes are just too sheer to be used successfully in stamping, and I am glad that is not the case with Spectraflair in base!

Spectraflair4U offers several Spectraflair grade options in different sizes. If you're new to Spectraflair and just want to use it for stamping or to holofy a couple polishes, Lori provides small bottles. If you're interested in creating your own polishes, she also has larger bottles. She also sells chromes and pigments to play with as well! If you prefer ready-made products, Spectraflair4U sells a Spectraflair holographic top coat and goldleaf top coats made with real white and yellow gold. I'm currently debating between the white/yellow gold mix and the white gold top coat, and I may have to hint to the hubby to get me gold for on my nails. ;) Whichever I decide on, I know it will arrive quickly. I was impressed with just how fast Lori's shipping was in sending me the bottle of Spectraflair in base! She had it in the mail the same day I decided which Spectraflair grade I wanted to test! While I don't mind waiting a little while, I can certainly appreciate a business that offers prompt service!

Have you tried Spectraflair from Spectraflair4U to make your own holographic polishes or for stamping? I'd love to hear from you!

Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
XO!
