Good afternoon, dear readers! I hope this post finds you well and you are staying warm. It's definitely not as cold here as it is in other parts of the country, but it is chilly for my standards! I've been curling up with a mug of hot tea all day today and finally getting around to putting up this post. I have two polishes by Indigo Bananas that I wanted to share with you today; let's check them out!
Perfect Night
While the base colour of Perfect Night is described as a dark purple and looked like it in the bottle, it definitely was not what I was expecting once I got it on my nails. Against my skintone, it looks more of a berry-based shade. It's very pretty, but not what I was expecting after seeing other photos. I used three coats for these photos. It applied very easily for me, but the dry time was, in all honesty, painfully slow compared to other polishes. I'm not sure if this is normally the case for this brand, or if it isn't the most compatible with my base coat. I may have to try it over a dark purple base, both for a darker purple colour and to see if dry time improves!
Molten Universe
Once an orange girl, always an orange girl! I am crazy about this rich orange shade, and those flakes, oh my! Molten Universe is any orange lovers dream shade! It applied very easily for me with three coats shown here. Like Perfect Universe, dry time was very slow for me. I'm going to have to test this out with different base coats to determine if that is the culprit for the slow times or if the base isn't as compatible with my body chemistry.
I do like both polishes, even though the colour was not as dark as I expected for one and the dry time was slow for me. I can only speak based on my experience with these polishes; your experience may be different from mine.
Both of these shades are currently available for purchase at the Indigo Bananas website here. Indigo Bananas also just launched their new Chrome Flakie polishes, and they look really cool!
Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
XO!
So gorgeous! Too bad about the slow dry time. :(
