YouPolish Sunburst Stencil Decals

Happy Hump Day, dear readers! I hope this post finds you well and you have ben having a wonderful week so far! While I've not been enjoying the rain we've had this week, I know my plants have been- my poppies are blooming like crazy and my veggie plants are soaking it all up! I don't have much of a green thumb, but something about being in my own house has made me want to surround myself with all sorts of greenery and flowers. Here's hoping I don't overwater everything!

For today's blog post, I wanted to share the Sunburst stencil decals made by YouPolish
This sheet is advertised as a 28 piece sheet, but if you use both the sunburst cutout itself as well as the remaining negative, you actually can get twice the number of uses from the sheet. I decided the play with these stencil decals using both pieces as a removable stencil to see how easy there were to work with. Let's check it out!
The first thing I noticed about these stencil decals is that this shape is not the easiest to work with. If you don't normally use tweezers when doing nail art, I strongly recommend them with these. These stencil decals are still a sticker-type item, and they don't keep their perfectly spaced out extensions on their own. They weren't too difficult to work with by any means, but you do need a little extra patience with these as opposed to something more simple like straight lines.
Another thing I noticed when using these as a stencil is just how sticky they are. As a decal, the higher stickiness would have been fine, but since I needed to remove them as a stencil and they have tricky extensions to work with to boot, the stickiness makes them a little harder to work with. I was easily able to remedy this by placing the stencil on the back of my hand a couple times prior to placing on my nails to lessen some of the stickiness. This definitely made the removal of the stencil go easier for me and something I appreciated while working with the sunburst ray extensions.

I had a lot of fun playing with the sunburst stencil decals, and I totally dig this final look! These may turn up again on my blog as I have a nail art look I want to attempt, and I have no clue if it will work out or be a total disaster. I guess time will tell!

I used Colors by Llarowe Oops polish, and I believe the closest CbL shade is Gemini Rising. I also used Zoya nail polish in Willa.

Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
XO!
