Happy Saturday, dear readers! I have another nail art post for you! I received a set of full nail water decals from Born Pretty Store that came with an emery board and a nail stick.
There are five different sets of water decals that come in the package. The rhombus-like pattern reminded me of an art piece I've seen before (whose artist and name I cannot recall in spite of my best efforts), and I was particularly drawn to that sheet. I opted to wear it in addition to painting my nails in the hopes it would jog my memory and help place it. Unfortunately it didn't come to mind, but my husband says it looks familiar to him as well so I mustn't be too crazy, right? Anyway, here's my nail art using the water decals!
I have to say, I definitely need more practice in applying these! After soaking the strips in water, the decals lifted off easily. Upon placing them on my nails, I had to smooth out the wrinkles. They came out for the most part, but there was a little wrinkling that remained. I bow down to those that can make these seem so easy! I certainly thought it would be easier!
I enjoyed testing these water decals, and I hope to get the hang of doing it soon!
Nail polishes used in addition to decals:
Elevation Polish: Cuernos del Paine
Gabriel Cosmetics: Holiday Red
Zoya: Estelle, Hannah, Sia and Tris

XO!
I also really like the rhombus ones. I feel like there could be a version with a smaller pattern so it would show up better on smaller/shorter nails.
ReplyDeleteThat's an excellent idea. I was a little disappointed that I lost some of the design just because they were so big and I had to cut the decals to size.
DeleteI agree! I like the different combinations in this package!
