The 2018 Cosmoprof North America show has come to an end, and next year's show is less than a full year away with only 356 days to go! With over 1,200 exhibitors showcasing their beauty goods, there is so much to see; try as I might, I still could not see everything and only made it to half the booths I wanted to visit. In spite of not seeing it all, whittling down my list to only 15 top beauty picks from the show has been rather challenging. This post features the products that really spoke to me and were the highlights from the show. They are in no particular order, and my picks cover a range of products. Without further ado, I present the must-have products from the show!
Power Down Powder
It's no secret that your skin does its best healing and best responds to treatments while you sleep. While Moonlit Skincare is best known for their Midnight Shift Overnight Facial Oil, it was their Power Down Powder that really caught my attention. This powder is a blend of crushed moringa leaves, aloe vera powder, kaolin clay and dried cucumber peel powder. Simply mix with water and apply to your face for the ultimate refreshment. Alternately, you can use it as a spot treatment overnight on your acne!
Have you been in search of your perfect red, pink, or nude lipstick, but nothing seems to be quite right? TōN Cosmetics has the perfect solution! They have created nine variations of each shade to ensure they have the perfect match for every skin tone and complexion. Whether you are cool, neutral, or warm; fair, medium, or dark, there is a shade for you! If you aren't sure where you fit in, they have a handy quiz online to help identify your perfect colours!
The Vintage Cosmetic Company
While I like my beauty products making me pretty, I like when my products themselves are pretty. The Vintage Cosmetic Company takes you back in time to the 1940's and 1950's with their vintage inspired patterns of their products. From attractive brushes to manicure sets, these tools will be lovely sitting on your vanity!

HCR 3-In-1 Serum
Who says you can't have it all when it comes to your skincare routine? Someone must have heard my frustrated cries of layering on product after product with different key ingredients: Cirem has released their HCR 3-in-1 Serum and it does it ALL! Ok, so that might be a slight exaggeration, but this product combines Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, and Retinol to make your skin look plump, soft, and younger, all wrapped up in one single bottle. Now this product is the ultimate triple threat!
Hair Regrowth System for Women
I'm sure we all know by now that hair will turn grey as you get older, but did you know it gets thinner as well? Now you can help turn back the clock and delay the thinning effect with Keranique's Hair Regrowth System for Women. The Regrowth Treatment ingredients reactivated dormant and shrunken hair follicles to make them stronger and help regrow hair. That being said, there is a point where is can be too late for your hair follicles so you will want to start with the treatment before you get to this point!
Color Me Autumn Collection
It seems like it took so long for summer to actually arrive, but in spite of that I am already thinking fall. LeChat's upcoming collection consists of six shades reminiscent of fall leaves, and it was love at first sight. Orange will always be my number one colour, but I actually love all of the upcoming hues!
Maskerade Organic Mask Maker
In a world where Pinterest and DIY-boards is a way of life, why not delve into the world of creating your own DIY face masks? Combine your own selected ingredients with a Bioactive Collagen Peptide tablet, place into the Maskerade, wait five minutes, and your mask is dispensed quickly into the formed tray. Place the tray into the refrigerator to harden and you have your own affordable gel mask on hand. While this in itself was a great machine, I especially like that it has another purpose: you can change the settings so you get a gentle stream of steam out the top while you are waiting for your mask to form. This is the perfect way to achieve spa luxury from the comforts of your own home!
I love fragrances, but sometimes the expense can be quite prohibitive. Wild Spirit has a collection of four different scents that are delightful and definitely will not break the bank! While this feature gives this brand an edge over others and certainly helped them make my list, it was these bracelets above that sealed the deal for me. Just in time for Christmas, Wild Spirit will be launching a special set of a fragrance with one of these bracelets. Simply spray your bracelet with the fragrance and enjoy 24 hours of scent. I brought one home with me, and mine actually still smells like the beautiful Driftwood fragrance over a week later!
Lip Scrub
No matter how much I try to keep my lips moisturized, they occasionally get dry and need some exfoliation to slough off dead skin cells. Lip scrubs are a great way to do just that, and it was love at first sniff with Skin Snob's Vanilla Mint Lip Scrub. The blend of shea and cocoa butters provide moisture and hydration while coconut, sunflower, and grape seed oils provide fatty acids for the ultimate nourishment and moisture. The sugar gently exfoliates the dead skin cells away with a particularly yummy treatment!
3-Step Regimen
I love finding innovative products at Cosmoprof North America, and Restørsea's product lineup may be the most original from the show! The brand lineup utilizes a proprietary enzyme that is released from salmon during the hatching process. This enzyme has the ability to directly target dead skin cells, leaving healthy skin cells unscathed. What this means is that you can avoid the harsh side effects of traditional exfoliants, leaving behind only beautiful and healthy skin. Sign me up!
Shellac Luxe
It is uncommon for me to share gel nail products here on my blog, so for one to be in my top 15, you know it has to be something special! I change my polish far too often on my hands to wear gel manicures often, but gel pedicures are a while other story. My biggest complaint has been the amount of time to remove gels, and while proper removal should mean no nail damage, my lack of patience is my greatest foe and I start using more force than I should. This is where CND comes in! Their new line, Shellac Luxe, polymerizes to a wider, more open matrix, making it faster for acetone to enter and break up the matrix. The result is a faster, 60 second removal. I will definitely be enjoying gel manicures more often with this product!
The Sage Lifestyle
The Sage Lifestyle caught my attention last year at CPNA, and I was delighted to see the brand return this year. I have several of their original 1/8 oz bottles, and they launched new, larger bottles with this year's show. In addition to being a larger size, they contain both loose gemstones and a gemstone rollerball, designed to complement the properties of the fragrance contained within the bottles. They also just launched their new Rose Quartz-inspired fragrance! The packaging of the newer bottles is complete with the beautiful Japanese washi paper cylindrical box, making this the perfect gift for yourself and your loved ones!

Glacial Water Cleansing Sherbet
I want my makeup to stay put all day long, but when the day is done and I want to get ready for bed, I want it to come off easily and quickly. It seems like a tall order, and I was pleasantly surprised to see just how well the Glacial Water Cleansing Sherbet by Crystal Hearts Cosmetics delivers! I tested this product against stubborn products on my hand. A quick rub of a little dab is all it takes to melt away makeup, and then it just wipes off easily with a clean cloth or tissue. I'm so excited to break out my most stubborn makeup items again!
Plump Lip Capsule Mask
I have used the brand's slice masks and lip masks, and I was thrilled to see Kocostar's new product coming in September to the brand lineup! These lip capsule masks contain essential oils and retinol that apply to the lips like a lip gloss. The tingling sensation and deep hydration is your all-in-one solution for dry, parched, and chapped lips!

Detok Zeolite Trumble Cleansing Water
While I don't have major objections to some chemicals in my beauty products, sometimes it is nice to go with something natural that gets the job done. I was intrigued by this cleansing water from Glan Moor. It contains the mineral zeolite, a natural detoxifier. It has the ability to attract positively charged impurities and pull them away from your skin. The powder does separate out of the cleansing water, but a quick shake mixes it together again and can be used on a cotton pad to cleanse the skin.
This concludes my top 15 picks from this years Cosmoprof North America! This year's show felt particularly skincare heavy to me, as is reflected by my picks in this post, but there were definitely other fantastic products that caught my attention. I brought a few things back home with me, and I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts on those as well!
Have you tried any of my top 15 picks? If not, is anything speaking to you? I'd love to hear from you!
Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful evening!
