It is no surprise that many conferences and events have been cancelled this year due to COVID-19, and our lives have predominantly been happening in front of our computer screens. I'm sure I'm not the only one tired of this all-too-common-yet-necessary approach to our work lives, and I tend to avoid Zoom calls unless necessary. That being said, do I have a virtual experience to share with you that you're actually going to WANT to attend- the first ever Virtual Makeup Show!
This is the very first ever virtual show, and it is a great way for makeup artists and the beauty community to come together during these crazy times! The show starts this Saturday, September 12th and runs until Monday, September 14th. While The Makeup Show events are often limited to professionals in the beauty industry, this Virtual Show is open anyone interested in learning from their favorite artists, chatting with your preferred brands, and saving a little bit of money on purchases.
Hold on because here is the breakdown of what all comes with that ticket:
- 3 days of LIVE Sessions
- More than 50 beauty brands all offering pro-discounts
- 10-day access to online shopping participating brands
- LIVE demos for 2 hours each day by the brands to chat
- More than 35 pre-recorded brand seminars available 24/7 so they can be watched at YOUR preferred time
- 7 LIVE Main Stage presentations with top artists in the industry including Miss Fame, Mimi Choi, James Molloy, Damone Roberts, Danessa Myricks, James Vincent, Marie Dausell, Isabelle DeVries and MORE!
There is so much to gain from this event, and the fact it is virtual opens the opportunity for many to attend that have not been to The Makeup Show events at select destinations!
If you are unsure if you should attend (virtually), here is a glimpse at the upcoming LIVE Main Stage speakers and subject matters.

With the added flexibility of pre-recorded shows that you can watch at your leisure paired with the live demos and Main Stage presentations, you'd be hard pressed to find a good reason not to attend!
While The Virtual Makeup Show grew out of necessity this year, I actually love the idea of a virtual event where beauty professionals can check in regardless of where they live! As much as I love traveling into New York City to attend the show in May, this would be convenient for those who aren't able to fit the travel times into their busy schedules. This particular show is very well organized and the layout of the website intuitive and easy to use, so I expect to be a success!
Will you be "attending" The Virtual Makeup Show this weekend? What presentations interest you the most? Are there any brands in particular you are interested in "visiting"?
Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!

So exciting for this to be virtual!
ReplyDeleteI hope it has a great turn out and they decide to just have a virtual event every year! I'm sure it takes a lot of coordination, but how convenient for those who don't travel!
DeleteThat looks like a really good lineup!
ReplyDeleteIt really is! I'm always excited when they announce their main stage presenters, and they have a great plan for the Virtual Show!
DeleteSo exciting! It is time like these that I wish I was a pro! The 2 that interest me the most are Art & illusion & Girl Interrupting – We Need To Have a Conversation. <3
ReplyDeleteThis particular show is open to anyone interested in beauty! A bit of the material is geared towards professionals, but anyone can buy a ticket to attend this one!
DeleteWhat a brilliant idea. I love how many beauty stars are participating. This would be ideal for me and my aching feet.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good point as well! I know the larger shows can include a fair bit of walking, lots of steps, and hard floors that aren't the nicest for your feet. Also, for those that love makeup but don't like crowds, the virtual experience would be a dream come true!
DeleteThis is awesome! I’m interested to attend!!!
ReplyDeleteI've always enjoyed the events in person and learned so much information! I always recommend anyone interested in beauty attend if they can, and the virtual experience makes it so easy!
DeleteThis looks like such a cool virtual event! Love that you can watch some of the seminars on your own time. I’ve seen some stuff I wanna attend, but sometimes can’t cause of timing conflicts.
ReplyDeleteThe pre-recorded presentations are going to be a blessing! Often I am torn deciding between two that overlap so this is perfect! It's also great for those checking in from so many different time zones!
DeleteI love that they are doing virtual events! I sadly work this weekend so can only catch Sundays broadcasts.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you'd have to miss some of the live presentations, but there are over 35 pre-recorded brand seminars you can watch at any time if you wanted to sneak some in before or after work. That said, I totally get how exhausting work can get and all you want to do afterwords is sit and do nothing.
DeleteI'm glad they didn't cancel and decided to do a virtual show instead. This is an amazing opportunity to learn from the pros!
