Zoya Wishes Collection: Swatches and Review

Press Samples
Happy Friday, dear readers! I hope you have had a great week and have something fun planned for the weekend. After all the craziness of October- from the fundraiser to the walk to Halloween events, I'm looking forward to a weekend with not a single commitment in sight! It's going to be great getting to do whatever comes to mind (within reason, of course), and I am hoping for a little rest and relaxation. Now on to today's post!

I have the six shades from the new Zoya Wishes Winter/Holiday Collection to share with you this morning. Let's check them out!

Nori
Nori can make any blue skeptic fall in love with the colour! The cobalt blue PixieDust is so vibrant and the glitters add the perfect amount of sparkle! It is my favorite shade from the collection (shh, don't tell the others), and I used three coats for this photo. The glitters spread pretty easily for me and the formula was good. Like other Zoya PixieDusts, it does take a little longer to dry than their other polishes.

Thea
Thea has such great depth, and you can get lost staring into it! I have no formula issues to report and use three coats for this photo.

Imogen
I was really hoping Zoya would make a black PixieDust with larger glitters! The one I envisioned had larger black glitters, but Imogen fits well with the rest of the PixieDust shades in this collection. It applied like the others with three easy coats for this photo.

Prim
Prim is a beautiful shade of blue, but as you can see, it is a little streaky. Streakiness can be avoided by sponging the second coat on your nails, but since many aren't aware of this technique or have the extra time sponging entails (finding a sponge, sponging itself, and a little extra cleanup), I wanted to showcase it as it looks straight from the bottle. I used two coats for this photo.

Haven
Haven is another favorite from this collection; the metallic plum colour is so rich! I used two easy coats for this photo.

Willa

I was a little surprised to see Zoya do a simple black creme, but then I suppose it is a shade long overdo from the brand. I don't wear black polishes by themselves anymore, but it is a staple shade for polish undies and nail art looks. I used two easy coats for this swatch photo.

The Zoya Wishes Collection was a bit of a surprise for me. I thought the brand would have more colour options rather than only a black, purple, and blue in PixieDust and non-PixieDust forms, although the polishes are lovely. That being said, the colours coordinate perfectly, and I'm looking forward to trying a few different nail art looks with them soon!

The Wishes Collection is available for purchase at Zoya.com or your favorite Zoya retailer.

What do you think about this collection? Do you have a favorite colour?

Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
XO!

  1. These are the first swatches I've seen so far that make the new pixiedusts look good! (even though I loved the bottle shots!)
I suspect the third coat's the charm...

    1. Hmm, that's weird! I've not looked closely at other swatches of them since I had these headed my way. I wonder if others only used two coats?
