Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate and Nail Art with Elevation Polish

Press Sample

Happy hump day, dear readers! I hope you've found a good way to stay cool with this heat this summer! It's almost hard to believe it is cold in some parts of the world when we hit over 100 yesterday! Thankfully it's cooling down this week as my toddler was not happy about not getting to play outside yesterday.

For today's blog post, I wanted to share with you an extra large stamping plate from Born Pretty Store. While I don't keep my nails super long, they are often still a little too long for several stamping plate images. I'm really glad to see Born Pretty Store now has larger images to stamp with! Let's check it out.
The stamping plate is contained within an attractive protective case.
For this post, I was provided with stamping plate BP-L-003. There are 15 images on the plate to choose from.
Stamp stamp stamp!

I had a little bit of trouble with picking up images from the plate. The wider grooves worked pretty easily, but the finer ones gave me a little bit of trouble. For these four nails alone, I counted a dozen stamping attempts to try to pick up the image fully. I switched polishes a couple times to see if they were the issue, and while it helped slightly, I'm not convinced the stamping issues I've had were all because of the polish. It could easily be user error as well, and I need to play around with this plate more to determine what exactly is the issue. There are a lot of cute images on this plate, and I definitely plan more nail art with it in the future!

Nail Polishes Used:
Elevation Polish Ceram Sea
Elevation Polish Malaspina Glacier
Elevation Polish Muztagh Ata
Zoya Loredana
Zoya Willa

  1. I'm really interested to see/hear about these plates. I just bought a big set from another store (shhhh) and am casting about for new and interesting plates. Also, I've noticed that the trend right now seems to be for "XL" stamping designs, but I feel like "regular" sized is too small for a lot of people. I have shorties and am noticing that MoYou designs are to small for me. Who are these tiny fingernailed people that plate- makers are designing for?

    1. The regular plates are so small! The only ones I can use have small images that aren't designed to fit the full nail. I guess they're perfect for kids, lol!

  4. It's a shame the time didn't transfer that well. The plate looks to have such a good range of images.

    1. I need to figure out if it is me or the plate (or even the polish) that is the problem. I just got another stamper in the mail so we'll see soon!

  5. I love the colors you used in this manicure. They flow together so nicely. It's too bad there were issues with the fine details being hard to pick up. I used to have issues with that all the time and then I switched stampers. I'm one of the few who prefer the hard stamper, I know most like to use a squishy one.

    1. I just had a new stamper arrive in the mail so I can test it out to see if it is a stamper issue or not. I do have a hard one, but I can never get an image to transfer well with it. Maybe I'll test it out again since I've not used it in a long time.

  8. I got this plate recently too and I thought it stamped pretty well (BUT I don't worry about small stamping errors as I know I'm not great at stamping). Doesn't it have some great images though?
