Blue Nails for Alopecia Awareness

Happy Friday, dear readers! I hope you are having a wonderful day and have something spectacular planned for the weekend. I've been taking it very easy since my surgery earlier this week, and I think I'm in for a boring weekend while I am in recovery. I'm going a little stir crazy at home, but it's better for me to rest right now, even if it is driving me mad!

For today's blog post, I am sporting blue nails in support of National Alopecia Areata Awareness Month. Alopecia Areata is a type of hair loss due to your immune system attacking your hair follicles. Often hair is lost in patches, and while it usually does grow back, there is always the chance you will lose your hair again. Scientists are conducting research to better understand this autoimmune disease as well as treatment options. Without further ado, here are my blue nails!
I used Zoya Ling as my base colour and then topped my nail off with Pahlish What a Terrible World. I then sealed my manicure off with topcoat.

I hope you enjoyed today's quick post, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
XO!

  1. I love seeing all the blue manis this month to raise awareness for Alopecia. I know that I'd never heard of it before I started seeing manis!'

Hopefully you'll find something to do this weekend that's fun and still meets the "taking it easy" part!

  7. Lovely combo, and such a good cause. I hope you had a great weekend! For me, "take it easy" weekends are just planting myself on the couch and watching football.
