LynBDesigns The Potions Mini Collection

Press Sample

Happy hump day, dear readers! I hope you are having a great week! It's been beautiful around here, and I've been spending my mornings outside with my boys enjoying the weather before the endless rains start. I know we really need the rain in California, but I'm not really looking forward to being stuck inside. I better start planning some fun indoor activities for us! Now to my post....

Earlier this week, I shared the new The Hallows Mini Collection launching on Friday by LynBDesigns. As if that wasn't cool enough, Jennalyn is also launching a second Harry Potter-inspired mini collection on Friday too! I don't know about you, but I am so glad that there are several mini collections- how could you possibly have one collection with a series filled with so much inspiration?!? Let's jump right on in to The Potions Mini Collection!
The Potions Mini Collection consists of four polishes. Naturally, my bottle of magically ingredients begged to be included in the bottle photo. Hehehe! Let's check out the colours!

Amortentia
Pink based silver flakie awesomeness
Retail: $10

AHHHH!!! I have to agree, this is bottled awesomeness! This polish applies so smoothly and dries to such a gorgeous glossy finish! I think Amortentia may be my most favorite LynBDesigns polish ever! I used three coats for these photos.

Polyjuice
Greyish brown crelly base with golden holographic glitter and color shift that changes from blue to purple to green
Retail: $10

Much like the potion is it named after, Polyjuice is one interesting and deceptive creation. It is such a difficult colour to describe, but I have to say it is quite pretty! These photos just do not do it justice- my camera just couldn't quite capture the beauty of this polish. I used three easy coats for these photos.

Veritaserum
White glass fleck based polish with added golden flecks and linear holo
Retail: $10

White and silver polishes usually look a little off on me, but the added golden flecks makes Veritaserum much more suitable for my skin tone. This polish is simply majestic, and I couldn't stop staring at my nails when I swatched it. It is on the sheerer side, and I still have a little bit of visible nail line after the three coats as shown here. It may be best layered over another polish if you prefer to avoid the VNL, but it is still quite lovely like this. The formula was great, and it applied very easily for me.

Felix Felicis
A bright gold glass fleck polish with added micro rainbow flecks
Retail: $10

Felix Felicis is the golden brother to Veritaserum. This beautiful polish applies easily and is shown with three coats here. It isn't quite as sheer as Veritaserum, and this can easily be worn on it's own without showing visible nail line.

Jennalyn has released several Harry Potter-inspired mini collections over the past few months with beautiful polishes in them, but I think The Potions Collection is my favorite one yet! Amortentia and Veritaserum are my favorites from the collection although you really can't go wrong with any of these polishes!

The Potions Collection launches on the Lyn B Design etsy shop here October 9th at 7pm EST. You can also follow Lyn B Designs on Facebook here for shop announcements and even more photos.

Until next time, dear readers, have a great day!
XO
