Made for Me Monday Featuring Superficially Colorful

Happy Monday, dear readers! This post is coming a little later in the day than I had hoped, but it was a crazy weekend and day around here. One of the highlights is my desk has been moved out of the corner of the living room and into it's own room! I now have a full room to swatch and store my bottles rather than trying to find space anywhere I could. Yay! I'm so excited about it! I'm still getting everything set up so I had to make do, but I am hoping to get at least my swatch area finished up tomorrow. I digress, so let me get to today's post!

If you've been following me for the past few months, you've likely seen my latest series, Made For Me Monday. In brief, I have been providing a photo inspiration or a theme to different indie makers, and they have been creating a polish or product based on the inspiration. Many have since released these creations in their own respective shops so you can enjoy them too! For today's blog post, I present my Made For Me Monday series featuring Superficially Colorful!

I always love these projects, but I was especially excited about this one because rather than a photo inspiration, Jin, the mastermind behind the brand, decided to go with a theme. Today is World Penguin Day, and we decided to use penguins as her inspiration. I had absolutely no idea what to expect, and it was such a fun experience for me to be so completely surprised! I hope you're ready for a whole lot of cuteness! Let's look at everything a little closer!
Jin really got into this project and went so far above and beyond to put together the cutest penguin-inspired package! Let's start with the polish first. Warning- I've got some serious shorties! I had a nail break opening mail, and while I was attempting to repair it, another broke off completely beyond repair. Yay for Club Nubbin!

His Majesty
Two coats plus top coat

This polish is so beautiful, and these photos just don't do it justice! I love the rainbow flashes of the flecks and the dazzle of the sprinkling of holo glitters in the mix. I adore black polishes that have something extra to them, and His Majesty is perfect! The formula was fantastic as well!

His Majesty was inspired by the King Penguin. The original inspiration photo is licensed and cannot be published here, so here is another one for you.

The Royal Family
One coat over Zoya Lillian plus top coat

This is such a great glitter topper! The triangle glitters have the most gorgeous blue flash when you angle your nails, and I didn't have to dig for any of them! I applied this polish easily with a little bit of a dab and a swish to disperse the glitters nicely across my nails.

The inspiration for The Royal Family is this cute photo of Royal Penguins.

Felted Soap
AHHHH! HOW CUTE IS THIS! I definitely squealed when I saw this adorable felted soap penguin, and I had to hide it from my toddler. I've been curious about felted soaps but have never used one before this one. It lathered up nicely for me with a little massaging and left my skin soft. I'm so thankfully I'll still have the adorable penguin left once the soap is gone!

Special Fizz
A Spa Day
This package only just made it in time for today's post for World Penguin Day so I have not yet had the opportunity to use this yet. Jin has told me there is a penguin surprise to fit the theme. I'm certainly looking forward to hiding out and having a nice soak with this! I love the smell!

I had so much fun with this penguin-filled package from Superficially Colorful, and there is still more for me to try yet! I really enjoyed having no idea how Jin would be inspired by this theme, and I can only hope she had as much fun with this as I have!

At this time, these products are not scheduled to be launched, but they hopefully will be in the future. Until then, there are lovely polishes available for purchase at the Superficially Colorful site here.

I hope you've enjoyed today's Made For Me Monday post! What product are you looking forward to seeing the most? I'd love to hear from you!

Until next time, have a wonderful night!
XO!
