Colors by Llarowe: Spring Jellies

Good afternoon, dear readers, and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!  While I have absolutely nothing planned for the weekend, I am looking forward to spending some quality time together with my hubs and little man. I'm also looking forward to having a little more "me" time so I can do some photo editing and writing- I have lots of swatches done and almost ready to share with you!

It is another grey day here in Northern Cali (BOO!), and I wanted to brighten it up with a little sunshine. What could be more perfect that a nice, sunny yellow? I figured while I was at it, I'd show the other jellies from the Colors by Llarowe Spring 2014 collection. Let's get to some photos!

Tweety Bird
Yay, yellow! Tweety Bird is bright and sunny, and definitely helps brighten a dark day! I'm a little on the fence about polishes that show off the nail line, but I am digging this. It reminds me of daffodils, and it will also be perfect for warm summer and hopefully sunny days. I used two squishy coats for the photos above.

Grape Juice
Grape Juice is a lovely purple jelly with superb formula. If you like jelly polishes, this one is a definite must have! I used three coats for the photos above to get this slightly darker look.

Ocean Water
I have a confession to make about this one: I wasn't sure I would like it when I first saw it in the bottle. I know, I know, crazy, right? Reason told me I should like the colour since I am drawn to this shade in general, but I didn't think I would like it as a jelly with visible nail line. I am happy to report that I was SO WRONG and Ocean Water is amazing! The colour is gorgeous and made me want to book a tropical vacation. I used two coats for these photos.

I've got lots more of the Spring polishes to share with you, so I hope you are prepared to see them!

Until next time, have a wonderful day! <3

  1. Not crazy about the nail line idea overall, but I sure do like how the Ocean Water looks.

  2. I haven't really got into jellies but I like the idea of making glitter sandwiches and some of the nail art I've seen with these.
