Happy almost Friday, dear readers! It has been a roller coaster of a week around here, so I am glad the weekend is almost here. Both my boys ended up a little sick yesterday, so this post didn't get started up early like I had hoped. They are doing much better today so hopefully it was just a short thing passing through. Now that it's a little quiet around here, I'm going to get this post together and up! Let's do this!
I have really been enjoying sharing the collaboration polishes I worked on this year to celebrate my 4th blogiversary, and I wanted to share with you another one today! I had the pleasure of partnering up with Amy of Literary Lacquers once again to follow up with my 3rd blogiversary custom, Cast From Stormhold.

Amy is always such a delight to work, and I think we make a pretty darn good team when it comes to designing polish together! For this year's blogiversary, I present to you Ventomarme.
Three coats plus top coat
Ventomarme is a dusty green-blue shade loaded with silver microflakes, blue iridescent flakes, and blue glass flecks. The inspiration is from The Cactus, a short story written by O'Henry with a twist at the end that teaches the importance of being truthful in addition to paying attention to the details. These are attributes I strive for in both my daily life and my writings here on my blog, and I felt it a fitting name for this year's blogiversary polish.
"Your brandy," resumed the other, coming over and joining him, "is abominable. Run down to see me some time at Punta Redonda, and try some of our stuff that old Garcia smuggles in. It's worth the, trip. Hallo! here's an old acquaintance. Wherever did you rake up this cactus, Trysdale?"
"A present," said Trysdale, "from a friend. Know the species?"
"Very well. It's a tropical concern. See hundreds of 'em around Punta every day. Here's the name on this tag tied to it. Know any Spanish, Trysdale?"
"No," said Trysdale, with the bitter wraith of a smile--"Is it Spanish?"
"Yes. The natives imagine the leaves are reaching out and beckoning to you. They call it by this name--Ventomarme. Name means in English, 'Come and take me.'"
I am so in love with this polish! I love this colour combination, and I find it to be a perfect shade for the transitional period between winter and spring. It is a little on the sheer side so the pops of blue don't get lost in the base, but it was opaque in three coats. The formula was very easy to work with- not too thick or thin for my preference and the flakes spread nicely over my nails.
Ventomarme will be launching at the Literary Lacquers Etsy shop here around the middle of this month. You'll want to keep an eye on the Literary Lacquers Facebook page for Amy to announce the exact date when she finds time in her busy schedule.
I hope you love this shade as much as I do and a special thank you to Amy for working on this beauty with me!
Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
XO!
