Ellagee Crushed Gemstones: Original Shades and a New Trio!

Press Sample

Greetings, dear readers! I hope this post finds you well! My laptop decided to die on me early last week, and my husband's attempts at finding and fixing the problem is still unsuccessful. He had a package of computer parts arrive in the mail today, so I am hopeful that something works and I am able to resume blogging more frequently! The hubby was able to leave me with his computer today so I could get this post up, but I need a better long-term solution. Until then, I'll do my best to get posts up! I'm going to apologize in advance if I start to get loopy or have gross grammatical errors as a lot of my blogging has to be done really late at night for the moment. Now on to today's post!

Holos, multichromes, and shimmers have really taken the polish world by storm lately, but sometimes there is nothing like a good old-fashioned glitter to make my day. For today's post, I have the Crushed Gemstones by Ellagee to share with you.
The series originally started out with the 12 birthstone inspired shades plus another polish, and this fall, Laura, the proprietor behind the brand, is adding three new gorgeous polishes to the collection. I was debating on what order to present them to you, and I decided to start off with the original shades. Rather than sound like a broken record, let me fill you in on some of the details here! All of these polishes are swatched over Zoya Purity by dabbing approximately one coat over the base. The formula was easy to work with, and the glitters spread quite nicely over my nails. You might get some slight gathering of glitters if you paint these on as you would a traditional polish. They dry to a textured finish so you'll have to use a few coats of top coat to get a smooth finish.

This is a picture-heavy post, and I hope you're ready for this. Let's jump in!

The new Crushed Gemstones will be launching on the Ellagee website here on October 1st at 3pm CST. Here is a handy clock if you aren't sure of the time difference from where you are located. The older 13 shades are already on the website now for purchase should you want to get a jump on your glitters! If you can wait for the launch of the three new shades, you can save 20% off the full 16-piece collection for the first week the new shades launch! That's a fabulous deal for a gorgeous set of glitters! Even though I wore them as toppers here, you could use a sponge to dab them on to opacity for fully jeweled nails.

What do you think of the Crushed Gemstones polishes? Do you have any favorites? I'd love to hear from you!

Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful night!
XO!

  7. This entire collection is absolutely stunning. When I first saw swatches and teasers, my jaw dropped. Laura killed it, but she always does with glitter packed polishes.
