Zoya Lipstick Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Greetings, dear readers! I am currently in Chicago attending the first ever Polish Con, and I'll be posting photos on social media during the event. I'll also get a post written up next week when I have returned home, so you can look forward to that coming soon! Now on to today's post!

I had the pleasure of swatching the current lipstick line up offered by Zoya; am I eager to show you all of them! Since some of the colours look rather similar in the tube and on the lips, I swatched them in similar groupings for easier comparisons. There are a couple outlier shades that are obviously different, but they are cluster in where I felt they fit best. There are quite a few photos in this post so buckle up and let's jump in!

The Nudes
Cameron - Wren

Cameron

Cameron by ZOYA is a creamy nude lipstick with a hydrating, satin cream finish. Flattering on all skin types, this shade has a flawless, opaque formula for luxe lips all year round!

I've never really found a nude that I liked on me, but I'm actually digging this shade! I had some issues with photographing the nudes on my lips, and this is a touch more peach than than photographed here.

Wren

Wren by ZOYA is a rosy nude lipstick with a creamy and ultra hydrating finish!

I'm not really sure how I feel about this colour on me, although I know several people that this would look gorgeous on! I think it might just be a little too Barbie pink for me, but the formula is fantastic!

Cameron - Wren

The Mauves
Mackenzie - Paisley - Brooke

Mackenzie

Mackenzie by ZOYA is a medium toned, crushed berry lipstick with a semi-opaque satin creamfinish. Flattering on all skin types, this shade has a light and flawless formula that is perfect for spring. It will surely get your kiss of approval!

I'm generally a red girl when it comes to lipstick, and I was a little surprised at just how much I loved this shade and the rest of the colours in this group! I'm definitely grabbing for this shade a lot!

 Paisley

Paisley by ZOYA is an ultra-wearable blush rose lipstick with a hydrating, satin cream finish. Flattering on all skin types, this shade has a flawless, opaque formula for luxe lips all year round!

Paisley is a paler version of Mackenzie that is perfect for the office; it adds the perfect kiss of colour to your lips!

 Brooke

Brooke by ZOYA is a dewy spring mauve lipstick with a similar pearl effect seen in Aster, Azalea and Zahara. Flattering on all skin types, this shade is creamy and ultra hydrating!

I admit that I was expecting Brooke to be much darker based on the shade of the lipstick bullet, but it is still a pretty shade. I really like the little flashes of sparkle when the lights hit my lips!

Mackenzie - Paisley - Brooke

The Reds
Maxwell - Georgia - MatteVelvet Red - Frankie

Maxwell

Maxwell by ZOYA is a deep plum with a subtle fuchsia fleck in a modern matte finish. Get luxe lips with just a touch of vamp!

Technically this is a deep plum, but Maxwell fits this grouping the best. I LOVE to wear rich red shades, and it isn't the least bit surprising to me that I'm a fan of Maxwell. I feel like I've been enjoying red velvet cake with this beauty on my lips! Yum!

Georgia

Georgia by ZOYA is a delicious berry lipstick with a hydrating, satin cream finish. Flattering on all skin types, this shade has a flawless, opaque formula for luxe lips all year round!

How pretty is this lipstick! It's got a fair bit of pink lean to it, making Georgia a great option for those that want to try a red lip without it being too red.

MatteVelvet Red

The MatteVelvet Red Lipstick by Zoya is a classic, cool-toned red with a velvety matte finish. The signature shade was inspired by Zoya Posh and is everything you could ever want in a matte lipstick - creamy, long-wearing, and pigmented with a flawless finish.

Of course you can always opt for the traditional cool-red if you prefer! You can never go wrong with a classic red like the beautiful MatteVelvet Red!

Frankie

Frankie by ZOYA is a bright, scarlet red lipstick with a hydrating, satin cream finish. Flattering on all skin types, this shade has a flawless, opaque formula for luxe lips all year round!

As much as I like my reds dark, I really like Frankie a lot! It may even be my favorite of this set (shhh, don't tell the rest)!

The Brights
Candy - Mellie

Candy

Candy by ZOYA can be described as a classic bright pink cream, with a cool toned, mid-range intensity, and medium coverage.

I don't know if I can find the words to describe just how much I love this colour! Candy is something I never would have picked for myself, but once I had it on, I was in love! While it isn't something I'd wear all the time, it certainly is a fun shade to pull on every now and then!

Mellie

Mellie by ZOYA can be described as a red-pink cream, with a cool toned, mid-range intensity, and medium coverage.

Mellie is definitely more my style when it comes to the brights, and I suspect it's just because it isn't quite as pink as Candy. Mellie is certainly one of my most loved Zoya lipsticks, and I'm so glad they introduced it to the lineup this summer!

Candy - Mellie

I relish in the application of these lipsticks! They apply so deliciously smoothly on the lips, and I love the way they feel! Whether they had a satin cream or a matte finish, my lips felt moisturized and not the least bit dry. These shades aren't the most long lasting and need to be touched up periodically, especially after eating or drinking, but these shades are well worth it!

Intense Overnight Lip Repair Balm

QTICA Intense Lip Repair is the rich, thick concentration of honey, beeswax, vitamins, aloe, tea tree and essential oils defends against the elements and helps relieve and seal the most dry, irritated lips overnight.
See and Feel an instant improvement and relief in lips.

This lip balm is part of the QTICA line-up of products with intense treatments. My lips suffered terribly while I was in Crested Butte this summer, and the high elevation left my lips painfully chapped and dry. I have never used a balm that made my lips feel better so quickly! I've been a lip balm junkie for as long as I can remember, but this Intense Lip Repair Balm is now a staple for when my lips need a little extra tender loving care!

All these lipsticks are currently available for purchase from the Zoya website here. The Intense Lip Repair Balm can be purchased at the QTICA section here. The lipsticks and the balm retail for $12 each. Choice in lipstick colour is so personal so my favorites may not be yours, but if you like cream lipsticks, I think you'll be very happy with these. The Intense Lip Repair Balm is the bees knees when it comes to relieving irritated lips, and I strongly encourage you to check it out!

Do you like wearing cream lipsticks? What are your favorite colours? Is there anything you're hoping to see Zoya release in the future? I'd love to hear from you!

Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
XO!

    1. Me too! I'm not really a fan of the crazy lip colours, so these are much more my style. I hope to see them do more nudes and browns!

    1. They don't make the wide range of lipsticks as polishes, and it was some time for me to realize they have lipsticks as well. I'm hoping to see more colours introduced in the future! And thank you, it was a lot of fun!
