LynB Designs: Viridity, May Polish of the Month

Press Sample

Greetings, dear readers, and happy Saturday! I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend, be it going somewhere new and exciting or just laying low and taking it easy. It's going to be a quiet one around here, or at least as quiet as my kids will allow, as my husband and I tie up a few loose ends before our own respective work trips come up. I will be in New York City in two weeks to attend The Makeup Show, so that is something you can look forward to seeing here on the blog soon. Until then, let's jump in on today's blog post!

In celebration of Earth Day tomorrow, I couldn't think of a better post than the LynB Designs May Polish of the Month! In case you haven't been following along, let me fill you in! Each month, Jenna, the creator behind the brand, releases a new shade created specifically for the month. This year, she decided to pull her inspiration from the traditional birthstones for each of the months. As a mineral and gem nerd, I just love the inspiration, and I look forward to seeing her interpretations of the iconic stones. Emerald is the birthstone for May, and LynB Designs will be launching a stunning green shade for it. Presenting: Viridity!

While "emerald green" is generally a rich green shade, this softer green hue is characteristic of the rough uncut emeralds I have found in my rockhounding adventures. I was delighted to see Jenna went this direction with her emerald-inspired polish, in part because it is just such a pretty colour in general, but also because it has a lightness that suits the spring season beautifully.

Viridity is described as a creamy light emerald polish with blue/green iridescent glitter, holographic micro shred glitters, and tiny green glass flecks. This combination is perfection!

I loved the formula of Viridity and found that it applies easily to the nails. It is a little on the sheer side, and was initially worried it might take far more coats that I would have liked to cover my visible nail line, but I found three coats was plenty for full coverage. If your nails are short like mine and you like to paint with a heavier hand, you likely will find that you only need two coats for opacity. Those with longer nails probably should plan to have to use three. I have also addd a layer of top coat over Viridity in these photos.

Whether you are a May baby (or love a May-by; my husband is one of those!) or just want all the green polish you can get on your nails, Viridity is an excellent addition to your collection and the LynB Designs Polish of the Month lineup. Between the impeccable formula and the soft green hue, it is sure to win a lot of hearts this spring!

Viridity will be launching on the LynB Designs website Friday, April 27th at 12 noon EDT. It will retail for $10.

What do you think of Viridity? Are you excited to see a lighter green emerald shade for the spring? What has been your favorite LynB Designs birthstone Polish of the Month so far? I'd love to hear from you!

Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
XO!
