Literary Lacquers: Salt and Sweetness Nail Art

Good morning, dear readers! I hope this post finds you well and your week has been off to a great start. In my previous post, I mentioned that this week on the blog is going to be all about Literary Lacquers.  It's one of my absolute favorite indie polish brands, and I thought it would be a great way to challenge myself with some nail art in addition to swatches. For today's post, I wanted to share Salt and Sweetness, the Literary Lacquers shade that is exclusive to the June Addicted to Holos Indie Box that is currently available for preorder. However, instead of just swatching it, I wanted to showcase it with a little nail art. Let's check it out!
This is one of the more simple nail art looks I've created, but it is definitely one of my favorites!

In addition to Salt and Sweetness, I also used Literary Lacquers Mirror of Galadriel to create this look.
I used the wavy lines decals from KBShimmer and the adorable sea turtle charm is from Born Pretty Store.
And a little closeup of just Salt and Sweetness. This is with two easy coats and top coat. You can really see the green glass flecks in the deep aquatic blue holo base along the top of my nail in the evil glare. I guess the glare IS actually good for something after all! Ha!

This particular shade was inspired by the poem The Wide Ocean by Pablo Nerudo. The poem itself is quite sensual, but my limited nail art supplies and even more limited nail art skills kept my nail art look geared more towards the ocean rather than the erotic. That's probably a good thing!
Here's a photo of my nails in the afternoon sun.
The June Addicted to Holos Indie Box is currently available for pre-order here. The preorder lasts through June 15th (that's Monday!), and there are a total of five polishes in the box. In addition to Literary Lacquers, there are polishes by The Polish Bar, Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer, Sweet Heart Polish, and Philly Loves Lacquer. Each box retails for $60 plus shipping.

Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
XO!

    1. Thank you! I love my little turtle and somehow forgot I had him until I was rummaging around in my nail art stash to see what sea items I had. Poor guy must have felt so neglected!
