Discovery Beauty Cosmoprof North America: BioBelle Natural Glow #iwokeuplikethis Facial Mask

Press Sample

Happy Friday, dear readers! This week has been such a blur, and while I would love for nothing more than to get a little bit of rest and relaxation in this weekend, that is definitely not going to be happening. I don't mind it though because I'm gong to be at The Indie Shop tomorrow!!! I am definitely excited to have the opportunity to attend this event again. I'll be writing a blog post about the event afterwards when I return home, but you can catch early glimpses of the day's happenings by following me on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram! Now on to today's blog post!

One of the brands in the Discovery Beauty area at CPNA this past summer was BioBelle Cosmetics, and they have quite an assortment of face masks to choose from! What makes BioBelle masks unique is that they use Tencel, a biodegradable fiber made from the pulp of wood from sustainable forests. Masks are designed to adhere to the contours on your face, delivering the rich serum directly to your face.
I received a sample of the Natural Glow #iwokeuplikethis mask to test out. This particular mask contains wild rose extract which acts as a gentle exfoliant and Vitamin C to protect your skin form environmental pollutants, keeping it looking clear and bright. I hope you're ready for the best selfie I have ever taken!
I totally could have done this for a Halloween costume! I have used a lot of masks, and I am a firm believer that there truly is not a one-size-fits all product on the market. After all, how could something that isn't a paste adhere to every contour of every face? The first thing I noticed when I removed this mask from the pouch is that is is very damp to the point of dripping off excess serum. While a small part of me was a little sad to see it wasted, I was happy to see this facial mask contains a sufficient amount of product to actually stick to your face and work its magic on your skin. If you've ever tried to stick a too-dry mask to your face, you know exactly what I mean. The mask felt cool and refreshing on my skin, although I have to admit knowing that it was made on tencel made me feel light I was applying a baby wipe to my face. For the non-parents out there, tencel is very commonly used in disposable baby wipes, and since I have two young kids in diapers/pull ups, well, you know where I'm going with this.

As for the fit, it definitely is a little too large on my face to softly caress the contours of my face. No matter how I laid it out and the little adjustments I made, I couldn't get it to align properly along the eye, nose, and mouth cutouts and end up with a perfectly smooth surface. I didn't mind it, but if you're looking for the sexy silky smooth look with this on that is drawn up in the schematics, it's not happening unless you're the model they used to cut these out. Still, they adhere very nicely due to the amount of serum they added to this mask. I left this on my face for the recommended 20 minutes, removed it and the excess serum, rinsed, and applied my preferred moisturizer.

With my typically skincare routine being very moisturizing, it's difficult to say that I saw improvements with only one use of the mask. That being said, my skin still felt nice and soft after I rinsed off the excess serum. I could definitely see this as a nice skincare product that gets incorporated into my skincare regime. They have different mask options available depending on your skincare concerns, and I am planning to pick up the Age-Defying mask using red wine and retinol and the Firming mask with pomegranate and hyaluronic acid.

Another bonus to note about this brand is not only are they making their masks in a sustainable manner, they also donate a portion of their sales to plant trees and restore forests. I love when companies do positive things for the environment so this is a huge plus for me!

BioBelle masks can be purchased at Ulta and on HSN. If you want to test out a few masks, I suggest purchasing from Ulta as they have them available for $4.99 each whereas HSN sells them in multipacks of the same type only. Also, Ulta has the exclusive #Decadence sheet mask with chocolate and acai. Now that sounds fabulous!

Have you tried any masks from BioBelle Cosmetics? Do you have any favorites? Which ones do you want to try? I'd love to hear from you!

Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
XO!

  4. ...truth be told i'm lazy by taking extra time to do any pampering on my face. Even in my teenager year i never had any skin problems and i've always get complements for my skin and every one ask me what products my using to achieve such beautiful skin and i just told just by drinking lots of water and further i would just on hot days wet my face with a could face cloth, now that i'm in my early 30' i start to realize that my face are a bit dry in some area's...i don't like this part of getting older.

  8. Thanks for your thorough review on this product! I have a hard time with masks as I don't do well sitting still and not fussing around with things - if they really work though they can be worth it.
